4. Remember that you need to overcome certain waves to continue to upgrade. In short, you won't be able to get some super towers directly from the jump, which is a good thing because it keeps the game balanced. You have to get better upgrades, but make the most of what you have.

5. There are a lot of different warriors to choose from. From archers to knights to wizards, and everything in between, there are multiple ways to diversify your team. So once you start unlocking more soldiers, then mix it up and give yourself a variety of firepower options.

This is a mine where you can dig for gold. As mentioned before, gold can be used to upgrade the size of your towers, and add soldiers. This in itself is extremely beneficial, especially since it is essentially a requirement to upgrade before moving on to the next level.
