1. Use of filters
1. VSCO has hundreds of filters, and each filter is suitable for different styles. Pictures taken under different scenes and lights at different times cannot produce the same effect even if the filters and parameters used are exactly the same. .
2. After selecting the filter, you can also adjust the filter concentration. The filter concentration ranges from 0-12. You can adjust it according to your own needs. 12 is the maximum concentration of the filter. Some filters can also adjust contrast and warm and cool tones individually.
2. Relationship between parameters
Exposure: The picture is bright, plus or minus corresponds to the lightness or darkness
Contrast: The contrast between light and dark in an image
Adjustment: crop, straighten, rotate pictures:
Sharpen: Increase the sharpness of the picture and enlarge the details more clearly;
Clarity: As the name suggests, the clarity of the picture:
Saturation: The concentration of colors in the picture
Tone: Highlights reduce the bright parts of the photo, and shadows brighten the dark parts.
White balance: color temperature and hue, the color temperature ranges from yellow to blue, and the hue ranges from magenta to cyan. Skin color: Decrease the value to favor cyan, increase the value to favor magenta:
Vignetting: Gradient darkness transitioning from the periphery of the image to the middle:
Grain: Increasing grain will give a filmy feel
Faded: The image becomes gray as a whole and becomes less saturated.
Tonal separation: multiple colors, with 6 colors each for highlights and shadows. You can adjust the value according to the desired tone of the picture. Border: Add a border to the picture:
HSL: 6 colors, each with hue, saturation, and brightness. You can adjust the color of a person in the picture independently without changing the whole.
3. HSL parameters
HSL: A function that can adjust a certain color independently. There are 6 colors that can be adjusted in HSL, namely red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. There are three adjustable ranges for each color, namely hue, saturation, and brightness. Chroma: the range of color shift.
Saturation: The intensity of the color
Brightness: the brightness of a color, similar to luminosity
4. Cutting and correction tools and secondary composition
1. Correction tools
The corners of the original image are not straight lines, and the picture is somewhat distorted. Use the tilt tool in the crop tool to adjust the image horizontally and vertically.
2. Cropping tool
When we take many photos, we may not take them well due to the focal length of the lens or environmental problems. At this time, we can try to use secondary composition to capture the good parts of the picture, and maybe it will turn into a good photo.
5. Batch usage parameters and export
Select the studio page, select a repaired picture, click the three dots in the lower right corner to display the option box, and select copy and edit (note: the copy and edit option will only appear when you select a single picture. If you cannot click it, pay attention to see if it is Select multiple pictures. Multiple long pictures do not support copying parameters.
Select the pictures you want to use the same parameters. You can select multiple pictures at the same time, then click the three dots in the lower right corner to select Paste and Edit. All the parameters you just adjusted will be overwritten on the selected pictures. When choosing to export, select the image and then select Save to Camera Roll to save individually or in batches.
