EX App

EX App is the official application of JR Tokai, which provides train timetable inquiry, reservation, station information, seat reservation and other services. Users can check the latest train information anytime and anywhere, making it convenient for free travel or business trips. In addition, users can also purchase tickets and IC cards, view in-train service information, and follow train operating status through the app. It also provides JR Tokai's latest discounts and event information to facilitate users to choose cheaper and more convenient travel methods.

Q.What happens if I forget my membership ID?

Your membership ID is a 10 digit number that are given once you have completed membership registration.

Membership ID can be confirmed in the emails sent from this service or on "Membership info." screen.

Q.Can I change my reservations? (Boarding date; boarding section; facilities; seat location, etc.)

You can make as many changes as you like within 3 months of the date of your initial boarding date.

Q.Which is cheaper - buying tickets at the station or using this Service?

If you are using a reserved seat, this Service is cheaper than buying it at the station, but if you are using a non-reserved seat then the price is the same as the price at the station. Note that separate fares are required for any conventional lines you use to get to (or from) the Shinkansen station; so, depending on which boarding sections you use, it may be cheaper to make your purchase at the station.

Q.Where can I pick up the tickets reserved through this Service?

Tickets reserved through this service can be picked up at ticket vending machines or dedicated pick up machines etc., in main Tokaido Sanyo Kyushu Shinkansen stations when you get on the Shinkansen; in addition, they can be picked up at ticket counters in main JR Central, JR West and JR Kyushu stations.Also, you can pick up your ticket at the ticket vending machines of JR East stations within Tokyo ward area, Yokohama city zone, Kawasaki station, Odawara station, and Atami station.

*They cannot be picked up at ticket counters at JR companies other than JR Central, JR West and JR Kyushu
